2014 Recruitment Apply Form for OPSC Assistant Section Officer 811:

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC), in continuation to its Advertisement No. 08 of 2012 – 2013 and subsequent Notice dated 21.08.2014 has invited the Application Forms through Odisha Public Service Commission Online Portal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Section Officer (ASO).

The submission of the Online Submission of Application Forms shall commence on 01.09.2014.  The Last Date of Online Submission of Application Forms by the candidates is 27.09.2014.

The Last Date for receipt of Application Fee at any Branch of State Bank of India in Odisha is 30.09.2014.

The Odisha Public Service Commission Notice states that the candidates who had already applied pursuant to Advertisement No. 08 of 2012-2013 need not apply again.OPSC Assistant Section Officer

The Odisha Public Service Commission has not informed the dates for holding the Online Written Examination and Descriptive Test and Skill Test in Computer and generating of the e-Admit Cards / Hall Tickets.

The Odisha Public Service Commission shall conduct Asstt. Section Officer Written Examination, 2014 in TWO (02) stages as follows:

The First stage of the Test shall consist of Online Written Examination.  The Online Written Examination shall comprise Objective Type-Multiple Choice Questions, which shall be followed by Essays in Odia & English languages.

The Second stage of the Test shall consist of Skill Test in Computer (Practical)

(ii) Skill test in Computer (Practical).

There are 11 Posts reserved for the successful candidates selected in order of merit on the bases of higher marks obtained by the candidates both in Online Written Test, Descriptive Test  and Skill Test in Computer (Practical).

Subsequently, the candidates selected through Merit based on the Performance and Marks obtained by them in shall be recommended for appointment in the Governor Secretariat.

800 Posts are reserved for the successful candidates selected in order of merit on the bases of higher marks obtained by the candidates both in Online Written Test, Descriptive Test  and Skill Test in Computer (Practical).

Subsequently, the candidates selected through Merit based on the Performance and Marks obtained by them in shall be recommended for appointment in the State Secretariat.

Scheme and Subjects for the Examination:

The Examination shall consist of the following subjects carrying marks as shown against each:

Note : (1) The candidate shall answer the question papers in English unless otherwise directed.

(2) Only those candidates who have been short listed after the written test shall be called for the Skill Test in Computer, which shall be of qualifying nature.

The standard, syllabus, duration and question papers shall be as mentioned detailed in the official Notification on the Odisha Public Service Commission Website.

The candidates must visit the Odisha Public Service Commission Website http://opsconline.gov.in  OR http://opsc.gov.in  for detailed information about the Program of the Examination(s) etc. and also keep track of publication of various notices to the effect in the leading local daily newspapers for information.

Age Limits:

A candidate should be under 32 (Thirty-two) years and above 21 (Twenty-one) years of age on the 1st of January, 2012, i.e. he/she must not have been born earlier than the 2nd  of January, 1980 and not later than 1st of January, 1991.

The upper age-limit is relaxable by 5 (Five) years for candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.), Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (S.E.B.C.), Women, Ex-Servicemen and by 10 (Ten) years for Physically Handicapped candidates.

Provided that in case a candidate who comes under more than one category mentioned above, he/she will be eligible for only one age relaxation benefit, which shall be considered most beneficial to him/her.

Save as provided above the age limits prescribed can in no case be relaxed.

Date of birth as mentioned in the High School Certificate or equivalent Certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council will be accepted by the Commission.

Educational Qualification:

A candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a recognized University; or posses such other qualification equivalent there to and must have adequate knowledge in computer application.

Application Fee:

A candidate belonging to General / OBC category need to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable Fee of Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred only). The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe of Odisha only are exempted from payment of this Application Fee.
