AFCAT 2 2014 Syllabus,Admit Card,Exam Date,Male-Female Cut Off:

The Indian Air Force had issued their official Notification to invite Online Application Forms from the bona fide Men and Women candidates.  The last date for Online registration and receipt of the duly filled-out Applications from the Male and Female for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) – 02 / 2014 came to an end on July 03, 2014 for recruitment in Flying Branch / Technical Branch / Ground Duty Branch in respect of the Course commencing in July 2015.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has not intimated any official date for generating the AFCAT – 02/2014 Admit Cards / Hall Examination Tickets for the candidates. AFCAT – 02 / 2014 Examination Date:

The Air Force Selection Board (AFSB), Indian Air Force, shall conduct on August 31, 2014 a combined Written Examination for the candidates for recruitment in Flying Branch / Technical Branch / Ground Duty Branch with regard to Male and Female candidates. The Written Examination for the candidates shall be held at the Examination Centers intimated by IAF Air Force Selection Board.

AFCAT – 02/2014 Written Examination Syllabus:  

The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) – 02/2014 scheduled to be held on 31.08.2014 would be of TWO (02) hours’ duration and will contain Multiple Choice Questions on Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability, General Awareness and Military Aptitude.

Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) would be for 30 minutes and conducted immediately after Air Force Common Admission Test.

The IAF has uploaded the Sample Question Papers and Syllabus of AFCAT – 02/ 2014 and the same is available on IAF career website. EKT would be for 30 minutes and conducted immediately after Air Force Common Admission Test.

AFCAT 02 / 2014 & EKT 02/2014 Cut-off Marks:

The Indian Air Force has not decided and published the Community Minimum Cut-off Marks for General / OBC / SC & ST candidates.  Our www.OnlineExamResult.in  team is watching out for IAF AFSB’s announcement in this respect and would display on the website for the candidates

The Indian Air Force shall draw up a Merit List of the candidates on the bases of their performance and marks obtained in AFCAT – 02 / 2014 and EKT 02 / 2014.

Selection Procedure:

The Indian Air Force shall call all those applicants (whose applications have been submitted by due date) for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) – 02 / 2014 (for the candidates who have applied for Flying Branch and Ground Duty Branch) and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) (for the candidates who have applied for Technical Branch only) scheduled to be held on the 31st of August 2014 (Sunday) at one of the examination centers published in the IAF official Advertisement.

The Indian Air Force expects the applicants / candidates to log into their Candidate Login Accounts regularly for information on AFCAT, EKT (if applicable) and AFSB testing.

The candidates who would be short-listed on the basis of the AFCAT – 02 / 2014, shall be called for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar or Varanasi. The testing would consist of three stages as mentioned hereunder:

(a) Stage-I Test consisting of Intelligence Test along with other tests will be conducted on the first day. Stage-I test is a screening test and only those who qualify would undergo subsequent testing.

All Stage-I qualified candidates would be subjected to document check to ascertain their eligibility for the branches applied for. Those candidates who either do not qualify in Stage I testing or do not meet the required eligibility criteria would be sent back on the first day itself.

(b) Stage-II testing consisting of Psychological test, Group Tests and Interview will be conducted on subsequent days (Five Days).

(c) For Flying Branch: Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) would be administered to eligible candidates.

The candidates need to avoid making ‘Request for change of SSB interview date’. However, as an exception, such change may be considered based on the circumstances of the case. The candidates may forward their individual Request for such change to the respective AFSB from where they would have received the Call Letter for SSB interview and not to Air Headquarters / AFCAT Cell. The AFSBs may consider change of date at their discretion.

Physical Medical Test

Medical Examination will be conducted at AFCME, New Delhi or IAM Bengaluru based on the recommendations at AFSB. Non-reporting of candidates on allotted date for medicals could lead to cancellation of candidature.

13. Candidates recommended by the AFSBs and declared medically fit will be detailed for training in the order of all India Merit list depending on the number of vacancies available in various branches/ sub branches. Grant of PC / SSC in Technical and Ground Duty Branches would be based on number of vacancies, performance in the selection process and the choice given by the candidates / Airmen.

14. No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained during the testing at AFS

10% of the vacancies are reserved for the NCC Air Wing ‘C’ Certificate holders in Technical and Ground Duty Branches.

Permanent Commission:

The candidates joining as Permanent Commission (PC) officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation

Short Service Commission:

The Engagement period for SSC Flying Branch is FOURTEEN (14) years from the date of Commissioning (Not extendable)

The initial tenure for Short Service Commission Officers in Technical and Ground Duty Branches would be for a period of TEN (10) Years.  An extension of FOUR (04) Years may be granted subject to personnel’s willingness, service requirement and availability of vacancies in the Serving Branch.

Types of Commission:

In respect of Women personnel:

Short Service Commission

The Engagement period for SSC Flying Branch is Fourteen years from the date of Commissioning (Not extendable).

The initial tenure for Short Service Commission Officers in Technical and Ground Duty Branches would be for a period of TEN (10) Years.  An extension of FOUR (04) Years may be granted subject to personnel’s willingness, service requirement and availability of vacancies in the Serving Branch.

Training:

Training for all courses has been scheduled to commence in the first week of July 2015

The duration of training for Flying and Technical Branches is 74 weeks and that of Ground Duty Branches is 52 weeks of Air Force Training Establishments.
