The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), through its Notification has invited Online Application Forms / Registration from the eligible candidates for admission to AIIMS PG July, 2014 Session. The Online submission of the Application Forms has already commenced w.e.f. March 01, 2014. The Last Date for acknowledgment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences closes on the 31st of March 2014 at 5:00 PM.

AIIMS: PG Doctoral Entrance Examination, 2014 Examination Centers:
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences shall conduct the all India PG Doctoral Entrance Examination, 2014 at Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Numbai, Guwahati, Bangalore, Trivendrum, Bhubaneswar and Bhopal.
AIIMS: P.G. Doctoral Course Entrance Test, 2014 Admit Cards:
The candidates expected to appear in AIIMS P.G. Doctoral Course Entrance Examination, 2014 scheduled to be held on 11.05.2014, may begin downloading the PG Doctoral Course Entrance Examination Admit Certificates / Hall Tickets with effect from 25.04.2014 onwards, through the official website of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
AIIMS: Post Graduate Doctoral Course-2014 Written Examination:
The AIIMS scheduled Entrance Test for MD / MS shall consist of ONE Paper of 3-hours’ duration containing Objective Type Test 200 Multiple Choice Questions covering all the subjects at MBBS Level.
The AIIMS notified Entrance Test for admission to MDS Program will consist of ONE paper containing Objective Type Test 90 Multiple Choice Questions. The Entrance Examination shall be of 1½ hour (90 minutes) duration. The multiple choice questions shall cover all the subjects taught at BDS level.
There shall be 1/3 negative marking for wrong answers submitted by the candidates in the Test.
AIIMS: Post Graduate Doctoral Course Minimum cut-off marks:
As per the decision of the meeting of the Academic Committee held on the 14th of September, 2013 there shall be a minimum cut-off of 50th percentile.

AIIMS: PG Doctoral Course Entrance Exam, 2014 Result:
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences shall declare the P.G. Doctoral Course Written Test Result on 15.05.2014.
AIIMS PG Doctoral Course Counseling:
Post AIIMS P.G. Doctoral Entrance Test, 2014 result declaration, TWO Counseling sessions for admission to MD / MS & MDS shall be tentatively organized on 11.06.2014 as well as 19.06.2014.
On June 20, 2014, the list of all such seats available for open selection will be displayed on the AIIMS website by 05:00 PM, which would be available for viewing for the candidates.
AIIMS PG Doctoral Course Selection:
The AIIMS determined Selection will be made entirely on the basis of merit in the entrance examination and the choice of subject will be allocated on the basis of personal counseling.
P.G. Doctoral Course Open Selection:
On July 25, 2014, Open Selection of the eligible candidates for admission in MD / MS / MDS for Post Graduate Doctoral Course shall be done.
Selection of Sponsored / Foreign national candidates:
A combined merit list of the sponsored / foreign national candidates will be made. The seats will be allotted purely on merit on the basis of performance in the Entrance Test. Detailed requirements for Sponsored/Foreign National candidates are available in the AIIMS Prospectus under the heading “IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL EXAMINATIONS”.
Declaration of Results:
The AIIMS headed Examination Cell would declare the Post Graduate Doctoral Course Final results for all courses and display on the Notice Board of Examination Section of AIIMS, New Delhi. The PG Doctoral Course results shall also be available on internet at the official website of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

Other Terms & Conditions:
Minimum cut-off marks
As per the decision of the meeting of the Academic Committee held on 14 September 2013, the minimum cut-off shall be 50th percentile.
Institutional Preference for AIIMS Graduates
(i) By way of institutional preference the institutional candidates, i.e., those who have graduated from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, shall be preferred for admission against 50% of total MBBS seats of AIIMS of the open general seats without any discipline wise preference, in accordance with the above mentioned judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and subsequent judgment dated 07.05.2004 of the Supreme Court in Saurabh Chaudhary Vs. Union of India W.P.
(C) No. 29 of 2003 and connected matters.
(ii) Any seat left vacant out of the AIIMS preferential seats or any other reserved seats shall be available to other open general category candidate in order of merit.
Determination of Inter se Merit of Candidates obtaining equal marks:
In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the Entrance Examination, their inter se merit will be determined in order of preference as under
(i) Candidates obtaining higher aggregate marks in all the MBBS/BDS Professional Examinations.
(ii) In case there is still a tie, according to age, the older candidate shall get preference over the younger one.
Duration of Course:
A minimum period of 6 academic years is the duration for those registering after MBBS degree and completion of one year’s compulsory internship
The next phase will consist of a period of one year devoted to a course in principles of surgery.
A candidate shall become eligible to appear for final examination at the end of five years.
Method of Selection
The method of selection and other terms & conditions for these candidates will be the same as for MD/MS courses. (Duration: 3 years).

OPH Candidates are exempted from any Fee
