AILET Application Form 2015 AILET Law Entrance Exam Syllabus:

The National Law University (NLU), Delhi has issued its Notification to invite the duly completed Application Forms through Online Mode for All India Law Entrance Test – 2015 for admission in B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programs for the Academic Year 2015-16 commencing from August, 2015.

The National Law University shall conduct on the 3rd of May 2015 has scheduled the AILET – 2015 for the 3rd of May 2015 for admission in to B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) – Five-Year Program; LL.M. (One Year) and Ph.D. Programs.  

Online Registration for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) – 2015 is in progress.  The Last Date for Submission of Application Forms for the preferred Course is the 7th of April 2015.

Examination Name: All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)-2015

Courses Name:

  • B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) – Five-Year Program
  • LL.M. (One Year)
  • Ph.D.

Age Limit: Below 21 years as on 1 July, 2015 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).

Educational Qualification:

(A) B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) – Five-Year Program: Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 50% marks. The candidates appearing in the 12th standard examination in March/April, 2015 can also apply.

(B) LL.M. (One Year)- LL.B. or an Equivalent Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability). The candidates appearing in final LL.B. examination in April/May, 2015 can also apply.

(C) Ph.D. : LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability). For detailed eligibility conditions visit the University website http://www.nludelhi.ac.in/.

Download NLU AILET – 2015 Admit Cards: 

The National Law University would generate on the 14th of April 2015, the Hall Tickets / e-Admit Cards for the candidates appearing at the All India Law Entrance Test – 2015 to be administered on the 3rd of May 2015. 

The Admit Cards will be available online w.e.f. April 14, 2015 on the above websites.

B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Syllabus:

English 35 Marks
General Knowledge (Current Affairs, General Science,
History, Geography, Economics, Civics)
35 Marks
Legal Aptitude 35 Marks
Reasoning 35 Marks
Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability) 10 Marks

LL.M. (One Year) Entrance Syllabus:

Total Marks 150
Duration of the examination 90 Minutes
Subject areas Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law and Legal Theory
Total Number of questions 100 (objective type) and 1 (Essay)
Objective Type 100 questions of one mark each
Essay One Essay of 50 marks on a topic of law from the above subjects.

Ph.D.Entrance Syllabus:

There shall be a written test which will consist of two papers:

i. Paper I – Research Methodology
100 marks, Objective type 100 questions of Multiple Choice, Duration 1 hour 30 minutes

ii. Paper II – Research Proposal Specific Paper
This shall not be a written paper. The candidate has to submit a research proposal not exceeding 15 pages on the topic in which the candidate wants to pursue a Ph.D.

The Research Proposal shall contain
a) Title
b) Statement of problem & background information on the subject
c) Research questions,Hypothesis & Methodology; and
d) Research design

The Expected Minimum Cut-off Marks / Minimum Qualifying Marks to be fixed / determined for qualifying the AILET – 2015, Counseling Schedule, Admission Fee in addition to the NLU Results for AILET – 2015.

Selection Criteria:

The National Law University would make Final Selection of the candidates in order of merit and through Counseling.
