Associate Banks of SBI PO Application Form CRPD/PO/AB/2014-15: SBI Notification for Online Registration Commencement and Closing Dates:

The State Bank of India, Central Recruitment & Promotion Department (SBI CRPD) has issued its official Notification in regard to Cumulative recruitment in the Post of ‘Probationary Officer’ in its Associate Banks under Advertisement No. CRPD/PO/AB/2014-15/04 Recruitment of Probationary  Officers in Associate Banks of State Bank of India.

The submitting of the Application Forms by the candidates through Online Mode has already commenced, i.e., September 01, 2014.

The Last Date for acknowledgment of the Application Forms complete in all forms through Online Registration from the candidates at the State Bank of India is September 18, 2014.

SBI – Associate Banks’ PO Written Test & Hall Examination Tickets:

The CRD might like to conduct the Probationary Officer Post Written Examination, 2014 consisting of Online Test (containing MCQs) and Descriptive Test (comprising Test of English Language) will be in the month of November 2014 (Tentatively).

We would bring quicker update on the CRPD announced Date for Online Test and Descriptive Test. We would display on our Website www.OnlineExamResult.in the same for the ready reference of the candidates. Therefore, the candidates are hereby advised to bookmark our Website for getting the said information.

Call Letters for Written Examination:

The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department shall generate and upload w.e.f. 27.10.2014 on  its State Bank of India Website the e-Admit Cards / Hall Tickets.

The candidates may begin downloading from the Bank’s website their respective Call Letter / Hall Tickets and ‘Acquaint Yourself’ Booklet by entering their Registration Number and Password / Date of birth. The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department shall not dispatch by any Dispatch Mode the Hard Copy of the Call Letter / Acquaint Yourself Booklet.

Final Selection:

State Bank of India – Associate Banks’ PO Written Test, 2014, consisting of Online Test and Descriptive Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview & Final Merit List featuring different communities (as mentioned in the Advertisement) prepared by the CRPD on the bases of the candidates’ performance and higher marks obtained.  

The candidates appearing in the State Bank of India – Associate Banks’ PO Examination, 2014, shall have to qualify both in Phase-I and Phase-II separately.

Marking Methodology:

The marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and the marks obtained in Group Discussion & Personal Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25.

The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department shall arrive at  and prepare the Final Merit List after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Personal Interview out of 100 for each category.

The State Bank of India – Central Recruitment & Promotion Department would finally shortlist and select the suitable candidates from amongst the Top Merit Ranked candidates in each category, viz., General / OBC* / SC / ST PwD (VH / OH).  

The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department would declare the Results of all those candidates who would have qualified for Phase II and have been finally selected by the Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, which would be made available on the State Bank of India Website.    

Thereafter, the Central Recruitment & Promotion Department would publish the Final Select List in the Employment Newspaper / Rozgar Samachar Patra.

*Vacancies reserved for OBC category are available to OBC Candidates belonging to ‘Non-creamy layer’. ‘Creamy layer’ OBC candidates should indicate their category as ‘General’.

Vacancies for OH & VH category candidates are reserved horizontally. Vacancies including reserved vacancies are provisional and may vary according to the requirements of Bank.

Eligibility Criteria: (As on 01.09.2014)

Essential Academic Qualifications:

The candidate must have Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized, as such, by the Central Government.

The candidate having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) Certificate should ensure that the Date of Passing the IDD is on or before the Eligibility Date.

Age Limit: (As on 01.09.2014)

Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.09.2014; (i.e., the candidate must have been born neither earlier than 02.09.1984 nor later than 01.09.1993 (both days inclusive)

SC / ST/ OBC (NCL) / PwD / EXS / Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of Jammu & Kashmir State.

As regards Category wise Relaxation of Upper Age Limit, the candidates are advised to read between the State Bank of India CRPD Advertisement:

State Bank of India PO Examination Structure & Selection Procedure:

Phase-I Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks and Phase II comprising GD & Interview.

The Objective Test will be through Online, which shall be followed by Descriptive Test will be administered. Questions relating to Descriptive Test will be available on computer (Online) and candidates will have to write the answers on the Answer Sheet (Offline) in Paper / Pen mode.

The Online Objective Test consisting of 4 Sections with 50 marks each (Total 200 marks) shall be of 2 Hours’ duration, as follows:

The candidates shall have to qualify in each of the Tests by securing Minimum Qualifying Marks / Minimum Passing Marks. The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department shall decide the Category wise Minimum Qualifying Marks.

The Descriptive Test consisting of “Test of English Language (comprehension, short précis, letter writing & essay)” carries 50 Marks shall be of 1 hour duration.

The candidates shall have to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, the State Bank of India.

 The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department would evaluate the Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates who would have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in objective test.

Phase-II shall consist of Group Discussion (20 Marks) & Interview (30 Marks)

The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both Objective Test and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category. The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, State Bank of India would call adequate number of candidates belonging to each category, to be decided subsequently for Group Discussion and Interview. The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, State Bank of India would decide the qualifying marks in Group Discussion & Interview for the candidates.

 Mode of Application / How to Apply:

The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, State Bank of India provides the following Guidelines for filling Online Application Forms for the candidates:

Log into www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in.

The Candidates will be required to register themselves online first through Bank’s Website. Thereafter, they have to pay the requisite Application Fee through one of the following modes:

(i) Online Mode: The payment need to be made by using Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking.

(ii) Offline Mode: The system will generate a Cash Voucher / Challan form pre-printed with the candidate’s details, which will be required to be presented at any State Bank of India branch counter with the requisite Fee. On payment of the requisite fee through computer generated Challan Form, registration of the online application will be complete.

Pre-requisites for Applying Online:

The candidates should have valid email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of Final State Bank of India PO Examination, 2014 Result. It will help him / her in getting call letter / interview advice etc. through email.
