The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released Notification dated 22.03.2014 to invite applications from the the eligible candidates through Online and Offline modes.

UPSC CMS 2014
UPSC shall conduct Combined Medical Services (CMS) Exam, 2014 to the following posts:
1. Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways.
2. Assistant Medical Officer in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service.
3. Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Services.
4. General Duty Medical Officer Gr.-II in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation and South Delhi Municipal Corporation.
5. General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council.
A candidate should have passed the Written and Practical sections of the final year M.B.B.S. Examination.
Candidates need to Rs. 200/- either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI in cash, or by using net banking facility provided by State Bank of India and its allied sister branches, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa, Master Credit, Debit Cards.
Female/SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of the fee.
Scheme of Examination: The examination shall be conducted according to the following plan:
CMS Exam comprises two tests as follows:
CMS 2014 Written Examination (500 marks)
The candidates will need to appear in the Written Examination in two Papers. Both papers carry a maximum of 250 marks each. Each paper will be of two hours duration.
Paper I will contain General Ability, General Medicine & Pediatrics
Paper II will have Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics & Preventive & Social Medicine
CMS 2014 Personality Test (100 Marks)
All the candidates after qualifying individual Written Exam shall undergo Personality Test, which carries 100 marks.
Penalty for Wrong Answers
Candidates should be extra cautious while attempting the questions given in the papers as there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
