CSIR JRF NET Online Examination, 2014 Schedule:

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) would holdtentatively on the 21st of December 2014 the Joint CSIR-UGC Test for determining the eligibility of the Indian National candidates for the award of t For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) And Eligibility for Lectureship  NET and for determining their eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the Faculty of Science & Technology.

THE Joint CSIR – UGC Test shall consist of a Single Online Test comprising Multiple Choice Questions carrying 200 Marks and the duration of the Online Written Examination, 2014 shall be THRE (03) Hours.

The CSIR Junior Research Fellowship NET December 2014 shall be held in two shifts; i.e., Morning (FN) and Afternoon (AN).

There would be Penalty for wrong answer as wrong answer shall be awarded Negative marking.

The award of Junior Research Fellowship (NET) to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their tracking admission / placement in a University / National Laboratory / Institution of Higher Learning And Research, as applicable.

Tentative Date of publishing of the candidates for Online Test, December 2014:

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research shall upload on its website a List containing the names of the candidates registered for Online Test.  The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research would put up for display CSIR, HRDG Website on the 31st of October 2014 the list of the candidates registered for test on.

To ensure their candidature, the applicants are advised to check their registration status on the CSIR website tentatively between 31st of October, 2014 – the 7th of November, 2014; thereafter, candidates’ request in this regard shall not entertained by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research.

Examination Centers:

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research shall conduct the Online Test at the following 26 Centers across India:

Bangalore, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guntur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Karaikudi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pilani, Pune, Raipur, Roorkee, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Varanasi.

Syllabus of the Online Test for CSIR – UGC JRF NET December 2014:

The question paper shall be divided into three parts, i.e., A, B & C as per the syllabus and Scheme of Online Written Examination for CSIR – UGC Junior Research Fellowship NET.

# Part ‘A’ shall be common to all subjects including Engineering Sciences. This part shall contain questions pertaining to General Aptitude with emphasis on Logical Reasoning, Graphical Analysis, Analytical and Numerical Ability, Quantitative Comparison, Series Formation, Puzzles, etc.

# In Engineering Sciences, Part ‘B’ shall contain questions pertaining to Mathematics & Engineering Aptitude & Part ‘C’ shall contain subject related Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics in the syllabus.

And for other disciplines:

# Part ‘B’ shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics given in the syllabus.

# Part ‘C’ shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and / or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.

# Negative marking for wrong answers, wherever required, shall be applicable as per subject wise scheme of Examination.

The candidates desiring to appear in the upcoming Joint CSIR – UGC Syllabus & Scheme the Online Examination containing single MCQs Paper may like to see at CSIR website www.csirhrdg.res.in/.

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research would decide the Category wise expected Cut-off Marks very shortly most probably before conducting the Online Test.  If not, then the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research would decide the Community wise Cut-off Marks / Minimum Qualifying Marks for the candidates belonging to General / OBC / SC / ST / PwD categories.

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research would announce in January / February 2015 and upload on its Website the Online Test December 2014 Result.

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research would prepare a combined Merit List of the candidates on the bases of their performance and Marks obtained by them in the Online Written Test December 2014 scheduled tentatively for 21.12.2014.  The candidates shall be shortlisted and selected in order of merit.

We would also display on our Website the Subject wise fully solved Answer Key of the Online Test December, 2014 for the candidates soon after the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research concludes the Online Test December, 2014 for shortlisting and selecting the candidates based on their performance as per the Minimum Qualifying Marks / expected Cut-off Marks decided and higher Marks obtained by them in the Online Written Examination, December 2014.
