Today, the Department of General Education is conducting the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test – 2014 for Category I & Category II in two shifts, i.e., Morning / Forenoon and Afternoon shifts.

The Department of General Education shall conduct on October 18, 2014, the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test – 2014 for Category III & Category IV.

The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test for all FOUR (04) Categories consists of Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions.

Each KTET – 2014 for all four Categories comprises 150 Multiple Choice Questions for different Test Papers. The Kerala TET – 2014 shall be of a total of 150 Marks.

There shall be no Negative Marking for wrong Answers submitted by the candidates.

Thek-tet-2014 is for

  • those who intend to be Teachers for Lower Primary Classes and fulfill the minimum educational qualification (Category I)
  • those who intend to be Teachers for Upper Primary Classes and fulfill the minimum qualification (Category II)
  • those who intend to be Teachers for High School Classes and fulfil the minimum qualification (Category III)
  • those who intend to be Language Teachers up to Upper Primary Classes and fulfill the minimum qualification.

For Specialist teachers and Physical Education teachers, K-TET is applicable up to High School Level (Category IV).

Qualifying Marks:

A person who obtains 60% or higher in the K-TET – 2014 will be considered ‘KTET passed’ or ‘K-TET qualified’. This will be the qualifying marks for all categories.
