Karnataka State Eligibility Test Center for Lectureship shall conduct on the 30th of November 2014 Online Test comprising therein 175 Objective Type – Multiple Choice Questions for 32 subjects for award of Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) for Lecturer / Assistant professorship – 2014.

KSET Center for Lectureship will be conducting this year – 2014 Test for 32 subjects at Eleven (11) Nodal Centers located across the Karnataka State.

The candidates who qualify the KSET 2014 on Merit shall be governed by the recruitment rules and regulations stipulated for the Lecturers / Assistant Professors of the concerned Universities / Colleges / Institutions (Government / Aided / Private) of the Karnataka State.

Karnataka State Eligibility Test for Lectureship Pattern:

Karnataka State Eligibility Test Center for Lecture shall conduct Online Test in two sessions, i.e.., Morning (Forenoon) and Afternoon as follows:

First I 100 60 out of which 50 Questions to be attempted 1 ¼ Hours(09.30 A.M. to 10.45 A.M.)
II 100 50 Questions all are compulsory 1 ¼ Hours (10.45 A.M. to 12.00- Noon)
Second III 150 75 Questions all are compulsory 2 ½ Hours(01.30 P.M. to 4.00 P.M.)

The First Paper termed as General Paper containing 50 Multiple Choice Questions out of 60 Multiple Choice Questions shall be based on Teaching and Aptitude.

The Second Paper containing therein 50 Compulsory Questions shall be a Subject Paper

The Third Paper comprising therein 50 Compulsory Questions to be attempted by the candidates shall be in-depth questions:

Procedure and Criteria for Declaration of KSET – 2015 Result:

Karnataka State Eligibility Test Center for Lectureship shall adopt the following steps for considering a candidate for the eligibility for Lectureship:

Step 1: The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III as stated below:

Step 2: A Merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks (from all the three papers) obtained amongst the candidates who have scored minimum marks prescribed in each paper as stated in step 1.

Step 3: From out of merit list prepared in step-2, top 15% candidates (in each subject and in each category) will be declared as KSET qualified for eligibility for Lectureship.
