Notification N.D.A. & N.A. Exam (II) 2016-UPSC Last Date,Exam Admit Card:

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) shall issue in June 2016 Notification in respect of the Recruitment through National Defence Academy / Naval Academy Examination (II) 2016 (NDA&NAE) 2016 scheduled for the 18th of September 2016.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) have the details for the candidates aspiring to seek their career into Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, as hereunder:

Online Registration Schedule:

Online Registration shall commence on the 18th of June 2016 (18.06.2016).

The Deadline of Online Registration by the Candidates is the 15th of July 2016 (15.07.2016).

The Union Public Service Commission shall conduct on the 18th of September 2016 (18.09.2016), the All India Written Examination for the candidates across the country.

e-Admit Cards / Hall Tickets:

The Union Public Service Commission shall upload on the Commission’s Website the e-Admission Certificates / Hall Tickets Three Weeks Prior To The Commencement Of The NDA / NA Examination (II) 2016 for Induction of the Candidates into National Defence Academy (NDA) / Naval Academy (NA) (10+2) Cadet Entry Scheme Indian Army (IA), Indian Navy (IN), India Air Force (IAF) & Cadet Entry Scheme (CES).  The Candidates shall be able to download effective the 29th of August 2016 (29.08.2016) their respective Admittance Cards / Hall Exam Tickets        

Age Limit (As On the Cut-off Date):

Age Limits, Gender and Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates born neither earlier than the 2nd of June, 1998 not later than the 1st of June, 2001 are eligible to apply.

The Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 Pattern of School Education or Equivalent Examination may also apply for this National Defence Academy / Naval Academy Examination.

Educational Qualifications:

12th Class Pass of the 10+2 Pattern of School Education or Equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

The Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 Pattern of School Education or Equivalent Examination can also apply for this Examination.

Scheme of the Online Written Examination:

The Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions printed in English and Hindi Languages consisting of the Test Booklet Series A, B, C & D Series shall contain the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions from the Sections A, B, C, D, E & F and shall be given the Weight age as hereunder:

Penalty for Wrong Answers:

There will be Penalty for Wrong Answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers mentioned with Each Test Booklet containing the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions in English and Hindi Languages as hereunder:

  1. There are four alternatives for the answer to every Objective Type Question printed on the Optical Markup Reader (OMR) Sheet. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, One-third of the Marks assigned to that Question will be deducted as penalty.
  2. If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer, even if one of the given answers happens to be correct, yet there will be the same penalty to that question.
  3. If a question is left point blank by the candidate, i.e., no answer is given by him / her, then there will be no penalty for that question.

Application Fee:

The Candidates (excepting SC/ST / Sons of JCOs / NCOs / ORs as specified in Note 2 below who are exempted from payment of the Fee) are required to pay a Fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) either in cash (by depositing the money) at any Branch of the State Bank of India by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India / State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur / State Bank of Hyderabad / State Bank of Mysore / State Bank of Patiala / State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa / Master Credit / Debit Card. 

Note 2: 

Those candidates who have yet to qualify in the 12th Class or Equivalent Examination and are allowed to appear in the UPSC Examination should note that this is only a special concession given to them. They are required to submit proof of passing the 12th class or Equivalent Examination by the Prescribed Date.

Intelligence and Personality Test: 

The SSB Procedure consists of two stage Selection process – Stage I and Stage II. Only those candidates who clear the Stage-I are permitted to appear for Stage II. The details are:

  1. Stage I comprises Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Tests are Picture Perception *Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on combination of performance in QIR Test and PP and DT.
  2. Stage II comprises Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over Four (04) days. The details of these tests are given on the Indian Army (Join Indian Army) Website.
Phase I

would comprise Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion Test

The Candidates declared QUALIFIED in Phase I shall be allowed to appear in Phase II.  The candidates declared NOT QUALIFIED in the Phase I would be sent back.

Phase II

shall comprise Psychological Testing, Group Testing and Interview.  The Test shall be held over Four (04) days.

The Successful candidates shall be put to Medical Examination that would be held during 03 – 05 Days.
