Staff Selection Commission (SSC) published a Notification to invite Online Applications from the interested candidates all over India.  Online submission of applications is still in progress. The last date for submission of Online Applications is October 26, 2013 12:00 midnight.

An All India Written Examination shall be conducted by Staff Selection Commission on December 29, 2013 at various Examination centers in various cities of the states, viz., New Delhi, Allahabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Raipur, Bangalore, Chandigarh & Guwahati.

There is neither Press Release nor communication on activation for downloading of the SSC Grade C & D Stenographer Examination, 2013.  However, the SSC Grade C & D Stenographer Roll Numbers would be available for download a fortnight before Grade C& D Steno Examinations are organized on December 29, 2013. Staff Selection Commission has uploaded Syllabus together with Examination Scheme, which is available in the Link provided here below.

The Written Test will comprise Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions.  There will be three parts in the MSQs based papers.  Part I will have General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability (50 Questions) Part II will have General Awareness based 50 questions. Part III termed as English and Comprehension will have 100 questions.  General Candidates will be required to attempt Question Paper in 2:00 hours and VH candidates shall be required to attempt the Written Examination in 2:40 hours.  There will be Negative marking against Wrong answer.

The candidates declared successful in the SSC conducted Grade C & D Written Examination shall be summoned for a Dictation and Typing Test.
