University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Testing (NET) Bureau conducts UGC NET JRF Examination twice a year for the brilliant applicants all over India seeking illustrious career in Lecturers / Professors to teach in the reputed colleges and universities in the country. UGC’s NET Bureau organized UGC Junior Research Fellow Examination in June 2013, i.e., June 30 & September 08, 2013, separately in Delhi and Ranchi. University Grants Commission’s NET Bureau is all set for conducting UGC NET Examination for the illustrious youth in December 2013.  The University Grants Commission would conduct NET for the JRF aspirants.

The energetic UGC NET hopeful youth have still submitting their Online Registration, which will continue unto October 31, 2013. October 31, 2013 is the last date for submitting Online Fee is November 02, 2013.  The last date for taking print out of Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admit Card from the UGC’s NET portal is November 05, 2013.

The last date for receipt of printout of Online Application Form (One copy) and Attendance Slip (One copy) at the respective Coordinating University opted by the candidate [with Fee Receipt & Category Certificate(s)] is November 09, 2013.

The Results of UGC NET JRF held on 30.06.2013 08.09.2013 are available for viewing on the official website of University Grants Commission. All those candidates, who had appeared in the UGC NET JRF Examination, must have optimistically viewed their UGC NET JRF results. The UGC has uploaded on its portal the UGC NET Question papers and Answer Keys held in Delhi and Ranchi for viewing of the December 2013 UGC NET to-be conducted JRF aspirants.

Eligibility Criteria

JRF Youth must not be above 28 years as on 01.12.2013

Scheme and Date of JRF Test

UGC NET shall comprise Three (3) papers which will be held in two sessions. First and Second Papers shall comprise 110 Questions.  Third Paper will have 75 Questions. In Paper I, the JRF aspirants will have 60 Questions out of which 50 questions will have to be attempted by them.  Paper II will comprise 50 questions, which all are compulsory to be answered. Paper III will have 75 questions and all questions are compulsory to be answered. Paper I & Paper II have been allocated 100 marks each and Paper III will be assigned 150 marks. All Three papers will be based on Objective Type Questions. First two Papers (i.e., Paper I & II) shall continue in quick succession and will have duration of 1¼ hours each) and Paper III will have duration of 2½ hours.  The NET JRF concludes in one single day.

*The candidates with Master’s Degree in Geography (with specialization in Population Studies) or Mathematics/Statistics are also eligible to appear in the subject “Population Studies” (Code 15).**The candidates with Master’s Degree in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences are eligible to appear in the subject ‘Women Studies’ (Code 74).

University Grants Commission NET Bureau has uploaded detailed Syllabus of 94 subjects on its official website. Hence, all the UGC NET JRF can download the same for their respective preparation.
