The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) through its Advertisement 07/2015-CMS dated the 14th of March 2015 14.03.2015 has invited the Application Forms through Online Mode for recruitment to various Posts as stated at the end of the Write up.

The Union Public Service Commission shall administer the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination – 2015 on the 28th of June 2015 (28.06.2015).

Online Registration has commenced w.e.f. the 14th of March 2015 (14.03.2015).

Last Date for submission of the Application Forms through Online is the 10th of April 2015.

Examination Fee: 

The Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of Fee) are required to pay of fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI or ONLINE METHOD.

We would display on our Website UPSC Communiqué in respect of the Admit Cards / Hall Tickets as soon as the Commission generates the Admission Tickets for the candidates to appear in Combined Medical Services Exam – 2015.

Exam Pattern of Computer Based Test CMS – 2015 & Syllabus:

Making or Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions:

There will be Penalty (Negative Marking) for Wrong Answers marked by a Candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

(i) There are four alternatives for the answers to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, One-third (1/3rd) or (0.33) of the Marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

(ii) If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a Wrong Answer even if one of the given answers happens to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for that question.

(iii) If a question is left blank, i.e., No Answer is given by the candidate, there will be no Penalty for that question.   

Personality Test:

Personality Test shall carrying 100 Marks of such the candidates that qualify on the Results of the Computer Based Examination. The Union Public Service Commission shall declare the Result of Computer Based Test on the basis of the Category wise Minimum Cut-off Marks / Minimum Qualifying Marks likely to be decided by the Commission.  

 Selection Criteria:

The Union Public Service Commission shall make FINAL SELECTION of the candidates strictly on the bases of the candidates’ performance both in Computer Based Test and Personality Test / Viva voce.

Selection Procedure:

Therefore, the candidates should secure SUFFICIENT HIGH MARKS in each Test of the Computer Based Test comprising Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions and in the Personality Test to be considered for FINAL SELECTION after the Interview.
