UPSC Prelims IAS 2015 Notification,Exam Date,Application Form :-

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) through its Notification invites the Application Forms from the bona fide Indian national in respect of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2015 to be held in August 2015.

The candidates may be able to submit their respective Application Forms Online as per the official dates intimated by them.

UPSC Prelims IAS 2015

The submission of Online Application Forms in regard to Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam., 2015 / Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Exam, 2015 through CS [P] Exam 2015, shall commence w.e.f. the 16th of May, 2015.

The Last Date for acknowledgment of the Online Application Forms at the Union Public Service Commission shall close on the 12th of June 2015.

The submission of Online Application Forms in regard to Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam., 2015 / Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Exam, 2015 through CS [P] Exam 2015 shall consist of TWO (02) Papers; viz., (i) General Studies Paper– I & (ii) General Studies Paper – II / General Studies – Paper-II (X Series).UPSC Prelims IAS 2015 Notification,Exam Date,Application Form

Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination / IFS (Preliminary) Exam, 2015:

The Union Public Service Commission shall conduct on 23.08.2015 an All India Combined Civil Services (Prelim) Examination 2015 / IFS through CS (Prelim) Examination, 2015. The Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam. 2015 / IAF through CS (Prelim) Exam., 2015, shall be of ONE (01) Day duration.    

The General Studies Paper – I containing a total of 120 Multiple Choice Questions shall carry a maximum of 200 Marks. The total Allowed Time duration for this Paper is TWO (02) Hours only.  This Test shall be in both English and Hindi Languages only.

The General Studies Paper – II the bilingual Test Paper, comprising 80 Multiple Choice Questions, would carry a maximum of 200 Marks.  The allowed time duration for this Paper shall be TWO (02) Hours. There shall be Negative Marking for Wrong Answers for the Question Nos. 75 – 80.

Similarly, The General Studies Paper – II (X Series), the bilingual Test Paper, containing 80 Multiple Choice Questions, would carry a maximum of 200 Marks. The allowed time duration for this Paper shall be Two Hours & Twenty Minutes Hours (160 Minutes) including the extra time. There shall be Negative Marking for Wrong Answers for the Question Nos. 75 – 80.

There shall be Penalty for Wrong Answers submitted by the candidates in the Objective Type Test.

I)        There shall be four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer shall be given by the candidate, ONE-THIRD of the marks assigned to that question shall be deducted as Penalty by the Union Public Service Commission;

II)        If a candidate gave more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the answers happened to be correct and there will be the same penalty as stated above;

III)        If a question was left blank or unanswered, i.e., no answer was given by the candidates, the Union Public Service Commission shall give no penalty for that question.

The Union Public Service Commission decides Community wise Cut-off Marks / Minimum Qualifying Marks for the General / OBC / SC / ST / PH – 1, PH-2 / PH-3 candidates in respect of CS (Preliminary) / Civil Services (Main), Civil Services (Final).

Similarly, the UPSC decides Community wise Minimum Qualifying Standards for the General / OBC / SC / ST / PH – 1, PH-2 / PH-3 candidates in respect of the IFS on the basis of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination.

The Union Public Service Commission draws up a combined Merit List out of the Civil Services (Main) Examination and IFS (Main) Examination. We would also display on www.ExamCrack.in Interview / GD for Personality Test, and separate All India Merit List of IAS & IFS Merit List, All India Toppers’ Ranks, Score Cards and Final Results of Civil Services (Main) Exam. 2015, and Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2015, for the candidates.
