UP Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association (UPUMCWA) had, on November 11, 2013, issued its official UPCMET – 2014 Notification for Admission to MBBS Course in the member Colleges for the Academic Session – 2014 – 2015. The candidates have presumably commenced submitting their respective Application Forms through Online Mode and Offline Mode. The last date for acknowledgment of UPCMET – 2014 Application Forms is April 30, 2014.

On May 31, 2014, UPUMCWA shall conduct the UPCMET-2014 for admission in MBBS Course for Academic Session 2014-15 in all of its member Colleges.
UP Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association would declare UPCMET – 2014 result on the 15th of June 2014.
UPUMCWA would begin Counseling for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Course after 15.07.2014.

UPUMCWA: UPCMET – 2014 Examination Pattern & Scheme:
UPUMCWA notified UPCMET – 2014 shall be an Objective Type Test consisting of Multiple Choice Questions. The UPCMET – 2014 shall consist of TWO (02) Papers; i.e., Paper – I will be Physical & Biological Sciences and Paper – II shall be General English (Qualifying Paper). Paper – 1 shall carry 200 Marks.
UPCMET – 2014 Paper-I shall consist of two sections; i.e., Section A & Section B. The Paper – I, termed as Section-A: Physical Science, of 2½ hours’ duration shall comprise 100 Questions (50 + 50) for Physics and Chemistry subjects. Section-B, termed as Biological Science, of ½-an-hour (30-minutes) duration shall contain 100 Questions (50 + 50) for Zoology and Botany. Paper – 2 would carry 50 Marks.
Paper – II termed as General English (of Qualifying nature) shall have 50 Questions.
The UPCMET – 2014 Schedule follows:

Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall during the gap between Paper-I and Paper-II.
Paper-I will be of 200 marks and Paper-II will be of 50 marks. But combined maximum marks for merit in UPCMET would be 200 i.e. Total marks of Paper-I and Paper-II will be of qualifying nature.
There will be negative marking of ¼ for each wrong answer. More than one answer marked in OMR answer sheet will also be considered as wrong answer.
UPCMET- 2014 Cut off Marks:
Minimum cut-off pass percentage of marks in Paper-I shall be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) and 50% in Paper-II (40% for SC/ST/OBC) to be secured in this test. However, merit shall be determined on the basis of marks secured in Paper-I only.

UPCMET – 2014 Fee:
Candidates need to have drawn up a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- Application Form for MBBS.
UPCMET – 2104 Examination Centers:
UP Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association shall organize the UPCMET – 2014 in various cities of India; viz., Agra, Allahabad, Bareilly, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Ghaziabad, Barabanki, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, New Delhi, Patna, Ranchi and Varanasi
Candidates must have passed 10+2 Level examination of UP Board / ISC / CBSE or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University with English as a subject having obtained minimum 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) marks on average in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (including practical examination) taken together.
The candidates appearing in 10+2 examination of 2014 are also eligible to appear in UPCMET – 2014 but at the time of counseling they have to produce the passing mark sheet of 10+2 examination, failing which no allotment of seats will be made by UP Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association.
The candidate should have completed 17 years as on the 31st of December, 2014, to appear in the UPCMET – 2014.
Nationality: Admission is open to all citizen of India.
Acknowledgment of Admit Card / Hall Ticket:
UP Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association would dispatch the UPCMET – 2014 Admit Cards / Hall Examination Tickets to the candidates by post at the address furnished in the Application Form.
UPCMET – 2014: Evaluation & Declaration of Result / Merit:
The answers to questions given by Panel of Paper Setters of respective papers and the result based on those answers shall be final and unchallengeable.
Evaluation of Answer sheets (Bar coded OMR Sheets) shall be done through computer only. There will be no re-evaluation of answer sheets in any case.
There will be negative marking of ¼ for each wrong answers submitted by the candidates.
The merit will be prepared on the basis of average percentage of total marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-I of the Entrance Examination conducted by UP Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association (UPUMCWA) subject to minimum cut-off percentage.
The percentage will be calculated up to two decimals precision.
Minimum cut-off pass percentage of marks in Paper-I shall be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC).
A minimum 50% pass percentage in Paper-II of General English (Qualifying paper) (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) is required to qualify for merit purposes.
In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal average percentage of marks, the rank of such candidates shall be determined on the basis of the Date of Birth of both candidates & candidate with higher age will be placed at higher merit.
All successful candidates will be informed by post, however, UPUMCWA will not be responsible for any postal delay and the candidates are advised to visit the official website of UP Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association for the desired information.
There will be Counseling on the basis of merit of those candidates who have secured the minimum cut-off percentage as notified in earlier pages of this brochure.
