WB Staff Nurse & Medical Officer Application Form 2013:

The West Bengal State Health & Family Welfare Samiti has published two Recruitment Notifications dated December 09, 2013 to invite Online Applications from the eligible candidates to the post of West Bengal Medical Officer and West Bengal Staff Nurse.

Online Registration has already commenced w.e.f. December 16, 2013 and the Last Date for submission of Online Application Forms is January 01, 2014.

The Recruitment Advertisements published by the West Bengal State Health & Family Welfare Samiti stand for Contractual based services for both Staff Nurse and Medical Officer (Ayush).  While the post of Staff Nurse is only for women, but the Post of Medical Officer (Ayush) is reserved for both Male and Female, as 50% of the total number of vacancies are reserved for women.   

The West Bengal Medical Officer (Ayush) Post is on Contractual Basis under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK).

Age Limit as on 01.10.2013:

Not exceeding 40 years. (Relaxation in age will be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC) as per extant rules and order in this regard.

Essential Qualification:

  • Candidate should have BHMS/ BAMS / BUMS from any Institution recognized by respective Council of that stream. Candidate must completed compulsory Internship at the time of submission of individual application.
  • The candidate must be a permanent resident of West Bengal and should be able to read, write and speak in Bengali dialect.
  • Candidates holding MD in Homeopathic / Ayurvedic / Unani from any institution recognized by respective Councils of that stream will be given additional marks.

Consolidated Remuneration:  Rs. 25000/- PM

Process of Recruitment:

Screening of Applications. Merit List of the eligible candidates based on scoring of academic qualification starting from Secondary onwards as stated in the Scale of scoring in the Annexure. Shortlisted candidates from the Merit List will be called for original testimonial verification. After successful verification of the Original testimonials, category wise Final Selection List according to Merit will be prepared for appointment in any District of West Bengal.

For Class 10 or equivalent Maximum 20 marks (Proportionate Marking, i.e., % obtained in the Examination *20/100)
For Class 12 or equivalent Maximum 20 marks (Proportionate Marking, i.e., % obtained in the Examination *20/100)
For BHMS / BAMS / BUMS Maximum 40 marks (Proportionate Marking, i.e., % obtained in the Examination *40/100)
Possessing Masters Degree Extra 20 Marks

Application Fee: 

Rs. 200 for Unreserved; 100 for SC / ST / OBC (A&B and PWD).  Demand Draft in favor of West Bengal State Health & Family Welfare Samiti payable at Service Branch, Kolkata must reach within January 14, 2014.

The West Bengal Staff Nurse Post is on Contractual Basis under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK).
