The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC) has uploaded the Admit Cards on its official website for the Pass Graduate Teacher candidates.  The candidates who had submitted their Application Forms for teaching Class V to Class VIII, may download their respective Admit Cards / Hall Examination Tickets through the official website of the West Bengal Central School Service Commission. There are 4900 (approximately) vacancies.    

West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC) in compliance with their Notification and as per the National Council for Teacher Education guidelines in respect of WB Teacher Eligibility Test shall, on the 30th of March, 2014, conduct the WB Teacher Eligibility Test, 2014, for the Pass Graduate Teachers.

Nota bene:

*The West Bengal Central School Service Commission will conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test, 2014 strictly following NCTE guideline in this regard and West Bengal School Service Commission Rule, 2007 along with amendment, if any, in the said Rule up to the 31st of March, 2014.

The West Bengal Central School Service Commission, in its Brochures at Part-B (Mode of Selection) underlines as has been mentioned that Honors / PG Teachers, who wish to teach up to Class V to VIII shall have to be TET qualified and also have to sit RLST Examination to be conducted after publication of TET result is subject to modifications as per order of the, Govt. of West Bengal as follows:

Only Pass Graduate Teachers for Class V to VIII will be selected through TET as per selection procedure as stated in the Brochure.

Selection Procedure (distribution of marks):  

Vacancies against Pass Graduate teachers will be selected on the basis of marks distributed as:

However, as per present order of the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal all Hons / PG vacancies remaining with the Central School Service Commission shall be treated as vacancies for the Class IX to XII classes and those vacancies will be filled up as per following mode through West Bengal School Service Commission Rule, 2007 including amendment if any, to be made there on following the present Govt. order in this regard.

Selection Procedure (distribution of marks) for Honors / Post Graduate Teachers:

For Hons/PG vacancies minimum qualification as stipulated by NCTE is not mandatory. Hence, candidates having qualification as per West Bengal School Service Commission Rule 2007 will be selected as per the mode mentioned in the box below:

Award of WB TET Certificate:

The candidates declared successful in the West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test, 2014 shall be awarded WB Teacher Eligibility Test Certificate with a validity of SEVEN (07)  years  to become eligible to teach at Primary Teacher level (I – V standard) and TGT level at the High School (Class VI – VIII Class), or  in Senior Secondary School (from 6th – 8th standards).
